GIBSON ES 335 TD Sparkling Burgundy custom color, 1966

With Pelham Blue, Burgundy Red metallic is one of the most spectacular, rare and sought-after custom-colors on '60s 335s. This guitar is in outstanding and 100% original conditions, light and exceptionally well-built. There is some finish checking both on top and back, and a little area between two tuners where the metallic color has been lost due to an excessive tightening of the tuner plates (below you'll see a picture showing this detail), but there is really nothing else to say. I have never seen a  Custom Color 335 in such conditions.... Everything makes of this guitar an exceptional instrument. Original and untouched "Patent Number" humbucking pickups, untouched circuitry, Kluson DeLuxe double-line/double-ring tuners (never any other tuner was installed, no additional signs and holes), knobs, ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge with nylon saddles, trapeze tailpiece, etc.. Perfect chrome parts. The headstock crown logo is still in the higher pre-67 position.
Killer sound. This great 335 has a fantastic-shaped mahogany neck with a beautiful block-inlaid fretboard made of brazilian rosewood, good frets and the "right" width at the nut.
The guitar comes with a new SKB hardshell case, non original of course, but of excellent quality, very solid and perfectly fitting.
October 2007: upon request, we have posted a new set of detailed pictures, much better than the previous one. So... enjoy!

Anf finally we have also found an original '60s hardshell case for this special guitar!
