GIBSON ES 335 TCD, 1972

cherry red. A typical early '70s ES-335 in unreal near mint conditions and 100% original! Figured maple body with gorgeous see-thru red finish; three piece mahogany neck, headstock with volute and 'Made in USA'. Chrome hardware: full '60s style with tune-o-matic bridge, trapeze tailpiece, 'top-hat' knobs, humbucking pickups with Patent Number decal. The only difference are the pickup covers with embossed Gibson logo, and Kluson Deluxe double ring tuners with the old D-169400 patent but marked "Gibson Deluxe".
As we said above, the guitar is all original including frets, but most of all it is a great sounding thinline guitar which looks brand new! Beautiful woods with grain showing through the unfaded cherry finish. Not a single scratch, no playing wear, no belt-buckle wear, no checking, no oxidation on metal parts, just normal fret wear and scratches on the pickguard, really unbelievable conditions for a 33 y.o. guitar! This 335 has been played, but has always been treated with care and respect; probably frets have been leveled, but they are still quite good and action is low. If you don' want to spend 5,000+ for a late 60s thinline, this one can be a good choice for both the working musician and the collector.
Beautiful original hardshell case.
