sunburst. A very nice - and different - Hofner hollowbody bass: this model shares lutherie specs and electronics with the 500/1 Beatle Bass, but has an original and very graceful single-cutaway design. Maple body with laminated spruce top, laminated maple neck, 'staple pickups', bound fingerboard, raised logo. Gorgeous two-piece maple back with narrow flames. Hardware is all original: there is one visible screw hole on the back of the headstock from a different tuner that once was there. Really a fine 60s instrument, extremely light and with the sound of a miniature upright bass.
